Shortly afterward, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com made a note of the website’s message boards that WWE refused to sign Tough Enough contestant Giorgia “GiGi” Piscina because they had discovered “something big” in her past that was alarming to treat her as scorched earth.
Meltzer has written:
“Gigi would have been signed but something very troubling about her past came up. It was really big, but I don’t know what it was. But it was like hands off pretend she was never here.”
In an update of Meltzer’s assumptions, Meltzer wrote the following:
“Gabi, not Gigi, sorry.”
Meltzer had an error, and it was Gabi Castrovinci, not Giorgia Piscina that had something troubling in their past that prevented WWE from giving them a development deal. However, both former Tough Enough contestants have responded to the claims:

If there is any truth to these rumors, it’s likely that Gabi and Gigi are doing their best to save face for the possibility of signing with other promotions as many former Tough Enough competitors have done. If WWE did find something troubling in their past, it might be better not to respond and like it go away over time.
