The Fabulous Freebirds Will Be Next Inductees Into WWE Hall of Fame

On Monday night, The Godfather was announced as the next inductee of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016.

There is some debate about The Godfather being worthy of the induction, but no one is going to question the company’s next selection for the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE is expected to induct the Fabulous Freebirds into the Hall of Fame this year and they will be making the announcement very soon.

Michael “PS” Hayes, Buddy Roberts, Jimmy Garvin, and Terry Gordy will all be inducted the night before Wrestlemania 32 and Kevin Von Erich will be inducting the group that night.

The Fabulous Freebirds are one of the most important tag teams. They “Freebird Rule” was obviously created around them and their feud with the Von Erichs is historic.

During their careers, The Freebirds won the Tag Team Championship in several promotions, including NWA and WCW. In Dallas, it’s a no brainer for The Freebirds to be inducted this year.

What’s going to be interesting is who will join the Class of 2016 after WWE announces The Freebirds because Jacqueline is the rumored name that will join them as the female inductee.

WWE is said to be debating about quite a few names, but we at least know that The Fabulous Freebirds will be able to take their place in history.
