Ever since Wrestlemania 32, Sasha Banks has been very noticeably absent from WWE programming. Although she’s not appearing on Raw and SmackDown, she’s still working a full-time schedule.
It’s an issue that WWE television only features one or two feuds in the Women’s division, which forces some of the top hands to sit and wait their turn. However, the powers that be seem to have something planned for The Boss.
According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, WWE officials are purposely keeping Banks off of WWE television for “long-term storyline reasons.”
The report came to light through Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer. There are no updates on what WWE has planned, but there was a rumor a few weeks ago that WWE is planning for Banks to become the next WWE Women’s Champion at “Summerslam” in a few months.
Dave Meltzer posted the following on Twitter:

It’s only May, so there is plenty of time for Banks to be built up to that result. Many within the WWE Universe were shocked to see Sasha walk out of Dallas without the title. Having to wait another four months doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to them, but WWE is obviously looking to build to the ascension of Sasha Banks slowly.
Do you think Sasha Banks is ready to be the WWE Women’s Champion?
