Rumor: WWE Will Have Two Sets of Tag Team Championships After Brand Split

As of this writing, The New Day have been WWE World Tag Team Champions for two hundred and eighty three days. They’ve been spectacularly dominate as faces and heels during that time.

The Tag Team Championship has a ton of prestige right now, and the team that finally dethrones The New Day is going to gain a ton of momentum along with the titles.

However, all that hard work from the trio of unicorns may go to waste because the brand split not only threatens breaking up The New Day stable, but there are serious changes coming for WWE’s tag team division.

According to a report from DailyWrestlingNews.com, there is a lot of internal decisions to be made over the next month and a half regarding the WWE Draft and what to do with the separation between Raw and SmackDown.

There has been a lot of talk about having two different sets of Tag Team titles in WWE because WWE officials feel there are enough teams so each brand can have a Tag Team Championship.

This brings up a very interesting debate because WWE officials are correct that there are a ton of tag teams that could result in two different sets of titles, but the company could very easily have one set of title as well.
