Kalisto’s fall from grace is one of the most confusing things to happen over the past six months. After “TLC,” he was red-hot and that eventually catapulted him into a United States Championship title run.
Maybe, it was the back and forth way the feud with Alberto Del Rio was booked. It could have been the lack of reaction from the WWE Universe or even the lack of television for the US title in Kalisto’s hands.
Either way, his momentum has most certainly cooled off significantly and he’s right back where he started as one half of The Lucha Dragons, who are unlikely to become the WWE World Tag Team Championship soon.
However, it’s being reported by DailyWrestlingNews.com that WWE officials were at one point looking to make Kalisto the seventh person in the “Money in the Bank” Ladder match.
The following tweet was sent out by WWE earlier this week by accident showing Kalisto as part of the match:

What’s funny is the rumors were talking mostly about Bray Wyatt returning to claim the seventh spot before it was cancelled. There was some speculation about Randy Orton as well.
Ultimately, it didn’t matter because Dean Ambrose was meant to win and cash in on Sunday night, so he just would have been a part of the match without a real chance of winning.
What do you think is next for Kalisto?
