Rumor: NXT Takeover: Sydney Coming in December

NXT Takeover is the most consistent WWE Network special. The brilliance of a Takeover special is that there is only a few per year, and one roughly every two months.

That allows the NXT product to breath and not be forced to have PPV quality matches every month, which also allows NXT talents to build their momentum for the big moments and payoffs at the next Takeover special.

Thus far, we’ve seen NXT Takeover specials in Orlando, Dallas, London, and Brooklyn twice. A new city getting a Takeover special is a cool thing, but a new country may be coming by the end of 2016.

According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, WWE has officially confirmed the dates for NXT’s first live tour of both Australia and New Zealand. The brand will be touring from December 5th through the 15th.

NXT usually makes an announcement for the next NXT Takeover special at the last one, but nothing was announced as of this weekend.

The expectation is NXT will have the next Takeover in October at Full Sail University, but the tour of Australia will culminate in NXT Takeover: Sydney to end 2016.
