We’re only a week removed from “Payback” last Sunday, but “Extreme Rules” is already right around the corner. In two weeks, WWE will be in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center for the event.

A few matches have already been announced for the event, including a Submission match between Charlotte and Natalya for the WWE Women’s title, The New Day vs. The Vaudevillains for the WWE World Tag Team Championship, and the rematch of Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship.

Although it’s obvious where the Intercontinental Championship match is heading, it has yet to be announced. It most likely will be made official on Monday Night Raw tomorrow night, but the expectation is The Miz will defend the title in a fatal four-way match against Cesaro, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

It was a very smart decision to combine the feud of Cesaro and Miz with Owens vs. Zayn because it’s going to do wonders for both rivalries and give the WWE Universe a great match for the IC title.

Honestly, any of those four men could end up winning the match, but the more important development will be what happens after “Extreme Rules.”

For example, if Sami Zayn can win the IC title. That will add a lot of fuel to the rivalry with Kevin Owens because Owens just defeated Zayn clean at “Payback.” He’ll have a reason to go after Zayn, and that will be a nice victory to give Sami some momentum over Owens.

Who do you think will walk out of “Extreme Rules” as the Intercontinental Champion?
