During NXT’s television tapings earlier this week, Bobby Roode officially debuted on NXT programming after a lot of teasing and sees him work NXT live events.
Few people come as talented as Bobby Roode. There is so much potential for him in NXT. Naturally, Roode accepted the praise from Full Sail University, but then he turned on them to establish himself as a heel.
According to a report from Wrestlezone.com, the plan is for Bobby Roode to be a heel and target one of NXT’s newest wrestlers Andrade “Cien” Almas. They are expected to have a match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II.
Almas vs. Roode could be very cool, but the question of who wins seems like an issue for NXT bookers. Almas hasn’t really been getting over with the NXT Universe because he’s a little bland, but does that mean he should be the one to put over Roode in NXT?
Also, Tye Dillinger just put over Almas at the last Takeover. Why did Dillinger put over “Cien” if he was just going to put over Roode a month later? Frankly, Dillinger vs. Roode seems like a better match-up anyway.
