After Triple H’s attack on Roman Reigns during the end segment of Monday Night Raw, it was reported that Roman required “surgery” for his nose after the brutal attack by The Game.
However, it is now coming to light that Roman Reigns did actually have surgery on Tuesday and WWE is using it for the storyline, but it was for a specific reason.
To clarify, the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship was not actually injured during the segment on Raw, but the attack was to build the violence in his rivalry with Triple H and set up a real-life nose surgery that Roman needed to repair a pre-existing nose condition.
WWE.com posted the following update on Reigns which you can read right here, but it’s unclear if Roman will be back for next Monday’s episode of Raw:
“Roman underwent nasal reconstruction surgery, which consisted of a deviated septum that was fixed and realigned,” WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “He also had a turbinate that was also fixed as well as a reduction of a nasal fracture Reigns will continue to undergo observation as he recuperates but a timetable for his return to action has not yet been discussed. After the procedure, Reigns tweeted out the following photos, revealing his post-surgery protective nose guard.”
