There was a rumor this past Monday that Nikki Bella would make her return to WWE during the final Raw before Wrestlemania 32 in Dallas.
Although she was backstage with her sister Brie and John Cena in Brooklyn, Nikki didn’t appear on Monday Night Raw, but it was for a very specific reason.
According to ProWrestlingSheet.com, the reason why Nikki didn’t appear on Raw is because of health concerns related to her neck injury. Apparently, she was told by her doctors that even taking an accidental bump could seriously hurt her and her recovery.
The original plan would have seen Nikki Bella get involved with the five on five Divas match at Wrestlemania and she would have been used in a non-wrestling role.
Having said all that, it’s very likely that Nikki returns next Monday after Wrestlemania because the rumor going around is Brie Bella will be retiring only two months after her husband Daniel Bryan gave his heartfelt retirement speech.
The absolute latest on Nikki’s neck recovery after surgery is that she is scheduled to undergo a CAT scan in July, which will determine whether or not she is medically cleared to return to the ring.
However, even if Nikki is able to return to the ring, it’s “highly unlikely” that’ll she’ll ever wrestle a full-time schedule again because of the overall condition of her neck.
The idea is for her to do something part-time, but we’re not going to know anything for sure until this July after she has her CAT scan.
Do you think Nikki Bella should retire from the ring and become John Cena’s valet?
