“Never say never, but I’m very pleased and happy where I’m at. I’m enjoying life at my fullest. Sometimes you realize that money isn’t everything. I made good money at WWE and traveled the world, and interacted with my fans, but I missed a lot of family time. That really hits me.”
“My son is 18, almost going to college. My daughter is going to be 15 next year, and she’s growing up fast. If the opportunity came, and it wasn’t too committed, why not.”
According to Wrestlinginc.com, there is a source within Lucha Underground that Rey Mysterio is negotiating and close to signing with the promotion.
It’s also entirely possible that Mysterio has already signed a deal with Lucha Underground and is set to make his first appearances at this weekend’s second season tapings in Los Angeles.
A different source for the promotion claims there is ” a very good chance” that Mysterio will be at the tapings this weekend. It’s believed that Mysterio is dealing with an injury, so it’s likely he won’t wrestle if he appears.
However, Lucha Underground can no doubt find a creative way to utilize Mysterio and the rub onto the promotion is great even if Mysterio just appeared as a fan in the crowd.
