Sami Zayn’s Return Date Confirmed

A few weeks ago, the following promotional video debuted during an episode of NXT detailing that Sami Zayn was returning soon.

Zayn’s return has been rumored and highly anticipated by the NXT Universe ever since he was last seen in the ring at NXT Takeover: Unstoppable. However, he has been announced and advertised to make his return to NXT during the promotion’s tour on the United Kingdom on the Road to NXT Takeover: London.

In an update and confirmation of those rumors, Sami Zayn has posted the following on Twitter:

It has been confirmed that Sami Zayn’s return date is this Saturday during an NXT live event in Sheffield, England. As of this writing, Zayn is advertised to participate in a Triple Threat match against Baron Corbin and current NXT Champion Finn Balor.

There is little speculation on what Zayn will be doing once he makes his return to NXT programming. However, it is important to note that Sami will be in the U.K for next week’s Takeover in London. Since his official return date is this weekend, he will be medically cleared to compete at Takeover.

It’s likely Sami Zayn won’t factor into the landscape of NXT until after Takeover: London, but making his return at that event would bring him back into the fold immediately.
