The problem LU is suffering from right now is their roster has lost Hernandez, Big Ryck, and Alberto Del Rio. If Lucha Underground has lost more talent than those three, it’s going to be interesting how they book the talent they have available for this weekend given some of the storylines that could continue in the next season.
Creatively, there has been speculation that Lucha Underground will be featuring more of the science fiction based storylines that were seen in season one.
According to The Wrestling Observer, the creative plans for LU is to get deeper into the “supernatural” stories the show began to explore in season one.
There are rumors going around that the promotion is attempting to build a super babyface and monster heels like Mil Muertes for a potential Lucha Underground spin-off movie or even another TV series.
One of the best qualities of Lucha Underground was its unpredictability. It’s good to see that the promotion hasn’t lost its touch.
