Next week on NXT, Bayley will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss. This week, the most recent episode of the Sam Roberts Podcast had Bayley on to talk about her career, NXT, becoming NXT Women’s Champion and more.

The full interview can be found right here. Below are some of the highlights:

During the interview with Roberts, Bayley discussed her first gimmick in FCW. She was supposed to be a luchador and Bayley worked the style for some time. There was development of Bayley having a mask, but WWE informed her before they were officially made that her character was taking a different direction.

Naturally, the topic of her moving to the main roster someday came up, but Bayley was hesitant to answer the question definitively. Bayley’s hesitance was because she knows many people that have been called up and most talents miss NXT once they’ve moved on.

Bayley did admit that it will be tough to leave NXT and that day will come eventually. When she was a kid, her dreams were to be on the main roster of WWE, so being called up will be a dream come true. Ultimately, Bayley said that she’ll deal with it when it happens. But, she’s the current NXT Women’s Champion, and that’s where her focus will be for now.
