At Wrestlemania 32, John Cena returned for a cameo appearance to help The Rock fend off The Wyatt Family to create a special Wrestlemania moment for the WWE Universe.
During his appearance, Cena performed a few spots, including an Attitude Adjustment. It seems that his rotator cuff in his shoulder was healed enough to appear and perform for a minute at the biggest show of the year, but Cena misrepresented himself and the status of his injury only a few days before that.
Just before Wrestlemania, Cena claimed that “he should have been back in the ring two weeks ago.” It’s now coming to light that Cena’s statement wasn’t true.
He wasn’t actually medically cleared to return to the ring, but he was just healthy enough to participate in the angle he did at Mania.
The absolute latest on Cena’s injury status is that it’s going to take a few more months for him to recover completely even though he’s already doing things physically that doctors said would take much longer.
There have been rumors about what John Cena will do once he returns to the ring this summer. Honestly, the United States Championship has become a shell of itself, and he could elevate it’s prestige immediately.
There is a rumor that WWE could be planning Cena vs. Roman Reigns at Summerslam this year, so most of his plans are going to be determined once he’s medically cleared to return to the ring.
What do you think John Cena should do once he returns to the ring?
