No matter what people think about John Cena, he’s going to put everything he has into whatever he is doing at the moment. There is no doubt in his belief of “American Grit” and he even had a thought of mixing it with WWE.

Today, Cena did a media call to promote “American Grit” which will be airing its second episode tomorrow night on FOX.

The Asbury Park Press published an article about the call that you can read right here. Below are some of the highlights, including Cena’s idea for a WWE version of “American Grit”:

Would you do a WWE version of American Grit?

“I think the possibilities of this show are limitless because of what it is based on: You will be put in a certain area of the Earth, you will work with a team as best you can and, at one point or another, your resolve will be tested. Any single human being can fit in that category. I think it would be unbelievable television to have a WWE version of American Grit.”

What are his thoughts on his entertainment portfolio?

“My mission statement has always been the same: How can I extend the WWE brand as large as I possibly can? After close to 15 years of consistently competing nearly every single day, I don’t want to say I’ve exhausted that resource, but it’s also time to take opportunities elsewhere when they can possibly broaden the outreach of the brand. An opportunity like this, an opportunity like the ‘Today’ show are wonderful places to showcase the different facets of what goes into performing in the WWE.”
