It was one thing when Finn Balor addressed the rumors of AJ Styles and New Japan Pro Wrestling stars heading to WWE, but it was another thing entirely when John Cena posted the following on Instagram:

As of this writing, the rumors are clarifying that AJ Styles will be starting with WWE this week. The original plan from WWE was for The Phenomenal One to debut as a surprise entrant in the “Royal Rumble” match.
According to PWinsider.com, He’s expected to make his debut the following night on Monday Night Raw because WWE wants to make the announcement during the “Royal Rumble” PPV through a vignette and give WWE fans a chance to look him up before Raw the next evening.
It’s still possible that WWE could change their mind and give Styles a spot in the Rumble match. No matter what, it is abundantly clear that AJ Styles will be making his WWE debut over the next week of WWE programming.
What’s been most interesting is despite weeks of rumors, there is no word on what WWE has planned for him regarding storylines or feuds. It’s really going to be something to see AJ Styles in WWE.
