Although many of us believe that Cody Rhodes’ “Stardust” gimmick isn’t the best use of his talents, there is no denying his ability to work a gimmick and his ability as a performer in WWE.
It’s shocking to say, but Rhodes has been wrestling with WWE for almost a decade. He’s been with the company since 2007, and he’s been a multi-time WWE Tag Team Champion with four different partners and a multi-time Intercontinental Champion in his career.
He’s found great success with the company, and many within the WWE Universe believe that Rhodes should be a WWE Champion someday based on his talent, longevity in WWE, and his depth as a performer.
It’s possible that the Stardust gimmick may run it’s course eventually, but many people would still argue that Cody Rhodes is one of the most underrated performers in WWE.
Rhodes recently addressed that concept during a Q&A on Twitter. Below is what he had to say about being an underrated talent:

Cody also touched on the subject of writing a book about his father “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes:

There have been a lot of rumors about the Cody Rhodes character returning to WWE programming eventually, but it seems that he’s locked into the Stardust character, so let’s see how far that can be stretched until it’s time to move onto something else.
Do you think Cody Rhodes is an underrated performer in WWE?
