Last year’s Tough Enough has brought in a lot of developmental talent for WWE, but we often forget that the contestants that don’t make it still get some exposure, and other promotions have the ability to sign with other promotions.
Great examples of that would be what Lucha Underground has done with Ivelisse Velez or Marty “The Moth” Martinez. However, there are always other examples like what occurred in TNA yesterday.
Former Tough Enough competitor Gabi Castrovinci recently signed with TNA to become a Knockout under the ring name “Raquel”. Her first match is scheduled for next month, but there is now some concern if she’ll even make her debut with the company.
According to DailyWrestlingNews.com, she was thrown out of the Knockouts locker room for being disrespectful to others during a recent taping of Impact.
There is no greater detail about what was said or why it was said, but Gabi already has some backstage heat in the TNA locker room despite barely being there as a developmental talent for a month.
There is a way that wrestling locker rooms are handled, and if you haven’t paid your dues in this business, and you’re green, there needs to be a strong desire to learn and to show respect the ones above you in the business.
Maybe, Gabi will learn what is necessary to be successful in TNA, but this is not a great start.
Did you see potential in Gabi during her time in WWE?
