Last night at “Summerslam,” Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton were booked in the main event of the second biggest show of the year and they delivered a war that will be remembered for its brutal ending.
The end of the match saw Lesnar remove his gloves and hit Orton with several punches and elbows that left him in a pool of his own blood that immediately ended the match.
There has been a lot of speculation since then that Lesnar went off script, went too far, and it finally exposed him as an unsafe worker, who shouldn’t be wrestling in a WWE ring.
According to a report from RingSideNews.com, Lesnar vs. Orton ended exactly how WWE officials had planned for it to end. It was a brutal ending, but everything went according to plan.
It was revealed that Randy Orton received 10 staples in his head after the match, but there is no timetable for his return to action on SmackDown after being destroyed by The Beast Incarnate.
Stephanie McMahon revealed that there will be “consequences” for his actions. As of this writing, there is only speculation about when Brock Lesnar will return to WWE programming.
Do you think Brock Lesnar went way too far at “Summerslam?”
