Davey Richards Undergoes Surgery, Will Be Out of Action For Six to Nine Months

at the end of January, former TNA Tag Team Champion Davey Richards suffered a serious knee injury that forced them to relinquish the titles at the time.

Ever since then, he’s been sidelined, but now it seems that he’ll be sidelined for the next six to nine months to recover from surgery.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Richards underwent reconstructive knee surgery last week to repair a torn ACL.

Obviously, the amount of time he misses ultimately has to do with how his rehab goes. The expectation is one half of the American Wolves will be out of action for the next six to nine months, which puts his return in the fall at some point.

Since the news of his injury and surgery broke, Richards has been active on social media. Apparently, he “hobbled” to s math class the day after surgery and aced a test. A fan also brought up his rehab time and he said the following on Twitter:

Richards recently signed a guaranteed contract with TNA, so there isn’t any serious rush for him to get back. There isn’t ever going to be a good time to get injured. He’ll return and the TNA tag team division will continue.
