Several months ago, Dana Brooke was sidelined with a shoulder injury that has kept her out of the ring since October.
Needless to say, NXT was in a very different place since the last time Dana Brooke had a match. Her last match was against Asuka at NXT Takeover: Respect and now, the latter is the NXT Women’s Champion.
She’s made appearances alongside Emma as a valet of sorts, but she moved onto the main roster shortly before Wrestlemania 32, so that’s going to leave Brooke on her own in NXT.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Brooke does on her own, especially considering that the midcard of NXT’s Women’s division lost two big heels in Emma and Eva Marie.
During Thursday’s NXT live event that will forever live in infamy as the night Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor, Dana Brooke also returned to action at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, MA. She teamed with Peyton Royce in a losing effort to the team of Bayley and Carmella.

NXT’s Women’s division is going to need Dana Brooke going forward because heels are going to be hard to find on that roster right now. She’s had a lot of time to recover and hopefully she can return better than ever.
Do you think Dana Brooke has what it takes to make it to the main roster?
