On last night’s episode of SmackDown, Chris Jericho got a clean win over AJ Styles in the rematch between them. Now, both men have a victory over one another, and there is most likely going to be a rubber match at “Fastlane” next Sunday.
Apparently, not everyone is pleased that Jericho defeated Styles clean. Many fans within the WWE Universe are taking to social media to criticize Y2J for “burying” AJ Styles, but he responded with the following tweet:

He’s done it so much and so well that many have argued that a win over him isn’t as valuable as it used to be, but those same people will claim that he’s burying a talent if he wins one match over them. Why does Y2J have to look bad just to get someone like AJ Styles over?
What makes last night’s victory work is that trading victories in great matches shows a deeper level of competition between them and ultimately puts AJ Styles over more because he had a better third match at a PPV with a lot of suspense. It’s a means to an end.
Do you believe the loss hurt AJ Styles momentum now that the WWE Universe has seen him lose?
