On Sunday night, Roman Reigns lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Seth Rollins clean at “Money in the Bank.”
Although Dean Ambrose would cash in his “Money in the Bank contract” to take the title from Rollins, it seemed like the perfect scenario for a triple threat at “Battleground.” However, that may be hard to pull off now.
According to breaking news from WWE.com, Roman Reigns has been suspended thirty days for violating the WWE Wellness Policy.
What’s curious is last night WWE set the main event of “Battleground” to be the triple threat match between all three members of The Shield. Did WWE know about Reigns’ failed test before “Money in the Bank?”
Roman Reigns commented the following on Twitter owning up to his mistake:

There is going to be A LOT of speculation about WWE’s decision to take the WWE title off Roman Reigns, setting him in the main event of “Battleground,” and being suspended for violating the Wellness Policy.
What’s really interesting is Reigns will miss the next thirty days of work, but his suspension will be over a couple of days before “Battleground.”
Potentially, the triple threat match could go on as planned, but what kind of message does that send to the rest of the WWE locker room?
Do you think Roman Reigns should be taken off the Battleground” card?
