Many months ago, WWE officials made Baron Corbin the “Constable of Raw” many fans groaned at the idea. However, the angle has worked perfectly to get The Lone Wolf over as a strong heel on Raw for most of the year. It’s given his character a lot of depth that it didn’t have before and he will head into 2019 with a significant amount if momentum.
The expectation was Baron Corbin would enter into a huge feud with Kurt Angle to end his run as an authority figure on Raw. That could still be a possibility, but the feud with Braun Strowman seems to be building to that end. However, Strowman’s recent elbow injury has put him on the shelf. It was Corbin’s attack that “shattered” his elbow on Raw.

Corbin vs. Strowman is set for WWE TLC and Braun being written off WWE television like he was is all part of the plan. According to a report from PWInsider, Baron’s attack on Strowman is designed to make him looker stronger and more of a threat against “The Monster Among Men” if their match at TLC goes according to WWE’s plan next month.
A lot of time has been put into making The Lone Wolf an effective heel and burying him in a squash match at TLC doesn’t do him any favors heading into 2019. WWE officials do seem to have that in mind, but they are still preparing to have Strowman squash Corbin at TLC if he doesn’t fully recover in time for the match instead of bringing in Kurt Angle.
Unfortunately, Strowman’s recovery is the important factor in their feud. Baron Corbin is expected to receive a strong push even after TLC. He’s expected to have a great Royal Rumble.
