It is now being reported by ProWrestlingSheet.com, that the main reason for Storm’s return to TNA was money. That shouldn’t come as a surprise because that’s usually how these things go, but the report says that WWE was only offering Storm less than one-hundred thousand a year and TNA was willing to double that salary.
It is being reported that Storm signed a two-year deal to return to TNA and that contract gives him a sizeable cut of the merchandise sales. Storm’s contract is for guaranteed money as well, and he’s going to have a bigger on-screen role in TNA than he would have in NXT.
It doesn’t seem like NXT, and James Storm ended on poor terms. They just couldn’t agree on terms, which is a fairly common thing.
Despite how cool it was to see Storm in NXT for a cup of coffee, maybe he can still do good things in TNA, and no one is going to blame him for taking more money with a company of which he’s spent most of his career.
Sorry about your damn luck, WWE.
