Latest Update on Dana Brooke’s NXT Status

It’s been a rough patch for Dana Brooke as of late. First, she suffered a shoulder injury that was featured on the last few episodes of “Breaking Ground”. Then yesterday, some nude photos of her leaked to the public and could potentially derail a lot of the hard work she has done in her career to this point.

The shoulder injury has certainly derailed her in-ring for some time now. Her last big match was against Asuka at NXT Takeover: Respect back in October. However, Brooke has mentioned on Twitter that she is doing fine and is ready to go in 2016. She posted the following:

Despite not wrestling in the ring, Brooke has been featured alongside Emma in the feud with Asuka. She’s been utilized as a distraction, and she’s been doing work on the microphone. Luckily, the feud has had Asuka and Emma doing the in-ring work.

It’s only a matter of time before Brooke comes back into the fold. Brooke and Emma building tension and turning the feud into a triple threat would be a great way to elevate all the characters. Dana Brooke would most likely stay heel in that scenario and that’s a role she plays very well.
