There is no doubt that NXT has been an overwhelming success. Not only is the brand marketable, but it’s been able to create several superstars over the years and has built the most vocal and loyal fanbase in wrestling.
The most interesting issue with that is that NXT is essentially the brainchild of Triple H, but WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is reportedly critical of the brand and even “dislikes” it to a fault.
According to GiveMeSport.com, Vince McMahon’s true issues with the NXT brand aren’t it’s abilities to connect with a crowd or create new developmental talent. However, Vince’s perspective is that NXT doesn’t have “stars” and can’t draw significant money for WWE.
The other issue is that the recent treatment of Tyler Breeze has soured a lot of NXT talents to joining the main roster, especially after the build up that “Breaking Ground” gave him.
Many NXT stars want to stay because they adore the passion of NXT and don’t want to suffer the same fate as Tyler Breeze or other superstars that have struggled on the main roster.
Hopefully, this is just a rumor because it’s disheartening to hear that The Boss isn’t pleased with one of the best things going in wrestling that has created some of the biggest stars on the current WWE roster, including Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose.
Do you think Vince McMahon is right or wrong?
