Roman Reigns is suffering from a nose injury that he recently had surgery on a few weeks ago. His recovery time is questionable enough to where people are starting to speculate about a potential backup plan if Reigns can’t make Wrestlemania.
Of course, the expectation is that Reigns will be fine by then, and WWE’s plan will come to fruition for Roman Reigns to defeat Triple H at Wrestlemania and become the WWE’s top face as the WWE Champion as many have before him.
However, Roman Reigns is still being evaluated after surgery, and although it is VERY unlikely, there is a rumor going around that Dean Ambrose could become the WWE Champion before Wrestlemania, which would drastically change the card.
The entire rumor is kind of unbelievable, but that is only because of the mess it would create since Ambrose is already set to face Brock Lesnar in Dallas.
The idea is that match could be for the WWE Championship, but Triple H’s role wouldn’t fit into the show anymore. While Reigns vs. Triple H could climax without the WWE title, the match makes a much bigger statement with it involved in the match.
Make no mistake, Dean Ambrose is on fire. Roman Reigns is getting a very lukewarm reaction from the WWE Universe and is sure to get a poor reception from the Mania crowd.
However, it is going to take a lot for WWE to ditch their plans and for The Lunatic Fringe to walk out of this year’s Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion.
