Shane McMahon has a date with The Undertaker at Wrestlemania inside the Hell in a Cell. That doesn’t sound like the best way to spend a typical Sunday evening, but there is a lot on the line for WWE programming for Shane for the WWE Universe.
Some of the most interesting dynamics of Shane McMahon’s return to WWE isn’t all about Wrestlemania. It’s not even about him taking over the role of the authority figure on WWE television. What’s especially interesting is what Shane’s role will be behind the scenes.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer said the following about Shane’s situation in WWE:
“…Even those closest to the family and near the top recognize the way Vince thinks. Already people are noting that the family soap opera behind the scenes is likely to become far more interesting than the one playing out on the screen.”
Earlier today, Shane McMahon appeared on today’s edition of The Michael Kay Show in New York to promote Wrestlemania and his return to WWE.
During the interview, McMahon said that he is currently working out three times a day to prepare for April and has been doing Muay-Thai since last summer.
