5. She Doesn’t Need the Physical Toll on Her Body
Ronda Rousey is in an incredibly unique position. Professional fighters are known to abuse their bodies when the moment comes. For professional wrestlers, that means doing it two-hundred and fifty to three-hundred days a year. The best wrestlers tend to do that for a decade over more. That’s a significant toll on the long term health of a human body.
Rousey is twenty-eight years old and has been on one of the biggest runs in fighting history. None of her fights have been over a minute since she won the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Even if she loses next month to Holly Holm and retires, she’s going to have more money than God and has many options outside of sports entertainment.
Rousey going to WWE for the next few years and wrestling on a far more regular basis than she fought could be a huge problem for her physically. She trains every day to have a body that is ready to fight four or five fights a year at the most. Suddenly being thrown into the WWE schedule of traveling and the physical toll could destroy her career even if she received a deal similar to Brock Lesnar’s.
