3. Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock

The-Rock-Brock-Lesnar

Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock has discussed for the last two Wrestlemanias, but the opportunity for WWE to pull the trigger on the match has been thwarted by The Rock’s unwillingness to get back into the ring or his Hollywood commitments blocking him from participating in the event of a lifetime.

There is just something incredible about Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock. In 2002, Lesnar was a rookie who skyrocketed to the top with a victory over The Rock. Lesnar is much more brutal and vicious now than he ever has been before. That makes him a dangerous threat against someone as beloved as The Rock.

The build for this match is surprisingly easy. Brock Lesnar defeats The Undertaker clean at “Hell in a Cell”. The next night on Raw, Lesnar stands tall as Paul Heyman talks about there being nothing left for The Conquerer. Suddenly, The Rock’s music hits and he makes the challenge for Wrestlemania. It’s that simple.
