He’s doing that too. There are all kinds of titles and championships in wrestling and some of those WWE offers are among the most prestigious in all of the industry. It can make a big difference to see one of those titles change hands but it is an even more important deal when one of those title reigns go on for a long time. That is what we are seeing again with a familiar name.

Roman Reigns has been the WWE Universal Champion for about three and a half years and is nearing the top of the list for longest World Title reign in WWE history. However, as of Wednesday, has also been the WWE Champion for two years, giving him the fifth longest reign in the history of the title. Reigns will surpass Pedro Morales for fourth place in January 2025. He is scheduled to defend both titles against Cody Rhodes on Night Two of WrestleMania 40 on April 7.

Opinion: Reigns’ time on top of WWE is nothing short of remarkable, though it’s not quite as impressive to say he has this many long title reigns when the titles are practically unified. Reigns is certainly a major star and he’s rewriting the record books, but this is only so big of a milestone when it’s only his second longest title reign at the moment. Maybe those change this weekend, though he has already done quite well with the titles no matter what.
