So that’s what they’re gonna do. With Wrestlemania on the horizon, it’s hard not to think of Hulk Hogan. The man was synonymous with Wrestlemania in its early days and is possibly the biggest star in the history of professional wrestling. He hasn’t been involved with the company for years now, mainly due to fallout from his racist comments back in 2015. Since then, there have been various rumors of Hogan potentially returning to the company but nothing has actually come to fruition. Now though, an event has taken place that has WWE talking about him again.

Hogan has been in and out of the company for nearly forty years, starting way back in the day.

Hulk Hogan's WWE Debut

Earlier this week, HBO’s upcoming “Andre the Giant” documentary held its world premiere. A host of WWE names appeared at the screening, along with Hogan himself. The appearance prompted WWE to release a statement on Hogan potentially returning to the company in the future. The statement said that there are no plans for Hogan to be back in the fold anytime soon and that at the moment, there is nothing planned. Here is the statement in full, as given to PWInsider.com:

“Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant’s history, however his appearance at tonight’s HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him. Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events.”

What else happened at the premiere? Check out who else was there.

Opinion: While I more than understand why Hogan and WWE aren’t working together at the moment, it would be great to see them back together at some point. They just belong together and it never felt right having Hogan anywhere else. He’s a big reason why the company reached the heights it reached before and Hogan isn’t getting any younger. It would be great to have him back, even if it’s just as a brand ambassador or as part of the Legends program. I won’t say WWE owes it to the fans or Hogan, but it’s just kind of a nice idea.
