When worlds collide. To say that Jinder Mahal’s time as Smackdown World Champion hasn’t been universally praised is an understatement. A lot of fans really haven’t thought much of his reign and haven’t been pleased by the fact that someone with so little success in WWE is the World Champion. That being said, he’s getting some minor mainstream exposure out of it, including a moment involving the UFC.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Mahal will accompany UFC fighter Arjan Bhullar to the octagon for Bhullar’s upcoming fight at “UFC 215”. Bhullar is a heavyweight who will be making his UFC debut at the show. He is the first UFC fighter of Indian descent and, like Mahal, was born in Canada.
Here’s the two of them in a workout together:
WWE vs UFC: Workout with Jinder Mahal and Arjan Bhullar
Opinion: This is something that’s always at least kind of cool to see as it make the WWE look like a bigger deal. Mahal isn’t exactly an a-list star but he’s starting to become more well known, which is at least going to boost his status a bit. While I think he’s losing the title at “Summerslam 2017”, it’s nice that he’s getting something like this.
