He’s in? AEW has changed the wrestling landscape by offering all kinds of wrestlers a brand new platform where they can showcase their skills. That opens up a variety of new doors, including some where other promotions can notice them. It can make all the difference in the world going forward and now a former AEW star may have gotten an even bigger break in his career.

According to Bodyslam.net, Brian Pillman Jr. has a deal in place with WWE, though it does not appear to have been officially signed. Pillman would be expected to move to Orlando by the end of August, when he would start with NXT at the Performance Center full time. This comes after Pillman Jr.’s AEW contract reportedly expired earlier this month, making him a free agent.

Opinion: Maybe this is what Pillman Jr. needs as he wasn’t getting anywhere in AEW. NXT is a good place or someone with talent who needs a chance to develop a bit more and that sounds like him to the letter. Pillman Jr. has long since felt like someone who could be something in wrestling and if this is what helps him get there then good for him, as it could go a long way.
