It didn’t work before. There are various stories to build a wrestling story for a match and injuries are one of the best. It makes sense that one wrestler injuring another is going to lead to issues, especially if there was something going on with them before. That appears to be the case again and now it is set to be part of an upcoming trilogy match between two stars.

Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar have been feuding over the last few months, with both winning a match each. This week on Monday Night Raw, Lesnar agreed to face Rhodes at Summerslam, with Lesnar attacking Rhodes’ arm again during the process. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rhodes has since been seen with a cast on his arm. This comes after Rhodes spent weeks in a cast due to Lesnar breaking his arm last month.

Opinion: That’s kind of a weird way to go but what matters is they have something to build the third match around. The No DQ stipulation fits well enough but hopefully they have something else to do during the match itself. If nothing else, this gives Rhodes something to overcome, and that is exactly what he needs, despite being in there with Lesnar, who is as monstrous as they come.
