That would be different. WrestleMania has been a WWE tradition for nearly forty years and there is nothing to suggest that will change. The show has long since featured the biggest stars in the company in several matches over the course of the night. Over the last three years, and continuing this year, the show has spread to two nights instead of just one. Now the show might be in for another change and the WWE roster is reportedly unhappy.

According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE COO Triple H is favoring a smaller WrestleMania card this year. As a result, several names who have been appearing on WWE TV in recent months may not appear on the show. This goes against the norm in previous years of getting as many wrestlers as possible on the card. There is also no battle royal planned this year to get more wrestlers to work the show. Finally, some wrestlers are unhappy with so many legends and celebrities being used on the show. WrestleMania 39 takes place on April 1 and 2.
There have been some big cards before. Check out some of the more interesting matches from WrestleManias past:
Opinion: I can understand both sides of this, as it never made a ton of sense to force in as many wrestlers as possible just to get them on WrestleMania. If the show is supposed to be the biggest and most important of the year, it doesn’t make a ton of sense to try and beef the card up as much as WWE attempted to do. On the other hand, putting a bunch of extra wrestlers in a battle royal is not going to hurt anything and accomplishes the same goal, so that could be a very nice middle ground. If nothing else, it isn’t like it would take much time or planning to set up.
