Table for three? We are coming close to the halfway point of the year and that means WWE is going to be getting ready for the second half. That includes a variety of major shows, some of which have been around for quite awhile. While WWE will present the same shows every year, they can occasionally offer a twist on the idea. That may be the situation again this year.

Over the last few weeks, WWE has made efforts to elevate NXT to a status as the company’s third brand. This includes wrestlers coming from the main roster to NXT and vice versa. According to BWE on Twitter by way of Cagesideseats.com, there is a chance that NXT could be added to this year’s Survivor Series, making it a three brand show. NXT was added to Survivor Series in 2019. WWE has yet to announce the date or location for Survivor Series.

Opinion: This is something that could be done well if WWE gives it the chance, as NXT has its fair share of talented wrestlers. If nothing else, it helps put NXT at that level between developmental and third brand, which is about where it needs to stay. Making NXT feel like a place that wrestlers want to go and it feels that much better, which might be what WWE is trying to do with this change.
