Not so fast. This coming August, AEW will hold its biggest event in history as All In is presented from Wembley Stadium in London, England. The show has already sold tens of thousands of tickets but that does not mean AEW is done making things feel even bigger. However, recent rumors of a star appearing do not seem to be true, despite how much sense they might make.

Earlier this week, rumors began circulating that AEW was hoping to bring in Davey Boy Smith Jr. for the event as a tribute to Smith’s father, who headlined Summerslam 1992 in the former Wembley Stadium. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is nothing to the rumors and AEW has not contacted Smith in any way about appearing on the show.

It would make sense. Check out Smith Jr., the original Wembley event, and who might headline All In:

Opinion: This is an idea that makes sense, but at the same time, it might be a bit too on the nose. Smith being at the show would be a nice tribute, but having AEW get away from Summerslam 1992 would make sense as well. AEW will likely have a great show no matter what and that is what matters most. They are not going to have this kind of a chance very often and it needs to go as well as possible.
