WRESTLING RUMORS: CM Punk Planned For Major Match On Upcoming WWE Show

That’s a big one. We are coming up on the end of the year and that means WWE is going to be starting to get ready for its new feuds at the beginning of the year. That can open up a variety of doors for some new shows and now we are going to get an idea of what that might include. In this case, it could mean one heck of a showdown, though so far you might not be able to see it take place.

Earlier this year, CM Punk challenged Gunther to a match for the World Heavyweight Title, but the match never came together as Punk continued his feud with Drew McIntyre instead. However, according to Chris Featherstone, Punk is expected to face Gunther in a cage match over the upcoming WWE holiday tour. It is not known if this will eventually lead to a televised feud between the two.

Opinion: Yeah this should work. At the end of the day, Punk is still one of the biggest stars in WWE and it should be interesting to see him going after the World Title again. What matters the most is WWE getting what they can out of Punk while they can, as he probably does not have a lot of time left in the ring. Hopefully, Punk can find a way to make this work, which shouldn’t be that hard with Gunther on the other side of the ring.
