Your WrestleMania Moment Is In Another Match. Kofi Kingston’s Gauntlet Match Ends With A Twist.

And….no? The top SmackDown Live story on the Road to WrestleMania 35 is Kofi Kingston chasing the WWE Title shot. While he’s come closer and closer over several weeks, it seems pretty clear that he’s going to get his chance in New Jersey. However, in order to do that, Kingston had to win a gauntlet match against five people. That sounds simple, but it was a little more complicated.

This week on SmackDown Live, Kingston did win the five man gauntlet match but his night wasn’t over. Vince McMahon came out after Kingston defeated Randy Orton to win the match and said that Kingston had to defeat WWE Champion Daniel Bryan as well. Bryan defeated Kingston, meaning that he isn’t going to WrestleMania. At the moment, Bryan does not have a challenger.

Opinion: I know WWE loves to move the goalposts on its big stories, but can we please get the match announced already? You can all but guarantee that Kingston is getting the title shot, and at some point that needs to be announced. We have two weeks left before WrestleMania 35 and that’s not enough time to keep wasting time like this. The guy is hot right now, but he needs to actually win the big one for a change.
