Earlier this month, WWE released several wrestlers, including Jinder Mahal. As of April 30, all of them are still under their no compete clauses and unable to appear for another wrestling promotion. According to Cagesideseats.com, Mahal has filed trademarks for “The Maharajah” and “Raj Dhesi”. While not confirmed, the latter would likely be his ring name when he is able to return to action.

Opinion: It’s good to see Mahal planning for his future and he will likely get a chance to showcase himself outside of WWE. It wouldn’t shock me to see some promotions trying to pick him up as there are certainly worse options out there. Mahal was put in an awkward place with his WWE Title run and then never got much of a shot after it was over. Maybe that changes going forward and it might be taking place soon.
What do you think of the name? Where do you expect Mahal to go next? Let us know in the comments below.
