Welcome Back? WWE Legend Makes Surprise Return At Summerslam

Welcome back. There have been countless wrestlers throughout the years but the vast majority of them are done with the industry when their time in the ring comes to an end. Every so often you will see someone stick around in a backstage role due to their knowledge and insight in wrestling. One such legend made a surprise appearance over the weekend in quite the return.

This weekend’s Summerslam featured a main event of Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Universal Title against Solo Sikoa. Rhodes was shown walking to the back before the match, where he ran into his former mentor Arn Anderson, who made a surprise return to WWE. Anderson told Rhodes that his father had been proud of him and teased that Rhodes’ friends would be around. This comes after Anderson left AEW earlier this year. There is no word on whether Anderson is back with WWE in any capacity or if this is just a one off appearance.

Opinion: This is a good thing to see as Anderson is one of the better wrestling minds of the modern era. He has long since had a great career working backstage in WWE and if he is staying around, there is something to be said about having someone like him around at all. If nothing else, it was a great surprise for a one off moment, which is always a good thing to see.
