WATCH: WWE Stable Loses A Member Following Violent Split

Changing sides. One of the most effective ways to freshen a wrestler up is by having them turn from one side to the other. This can come out of nowhere or after a slow build, but sometimes you get a mixture of both. Those often make for some very interesting moments and we saw another one this week, as a stable lost one of its most prominent members.

This week’s SmackDown opened with an interview with the LWO. Carlito came to the ring and blamed Santos Escobar for costing Rey Mysterio the United States Title at Crown Jewel. Following Carlito’s loss to Bobby Lashley, Escobar attacked Mysterio before leaving the arena. This would mark Escobar’s departure from the team after being one of its founding members.

That’s a big one. Check out all three parts of the night:

Opinion: While the moment itself was a surprise, the turn has seemingly been teased for several weeks. Escobar has lost a lot of matches while the focus has been on Mysterio and that is only going to be able to last so long. This could open up some interesting options for Escobar, who has already gotten quite a bit out of being associated with Mysterio as part of the team.
