And back it goes. Title changes can be among the most important things in the wrestling world and can mark quite the shift in a wrestler’s career path. Occasionally you will see wrestlers trade a title in a short span of time with one of them coming out looking like a much bigger star. That was the situation again this week, as a title changed hands twice in four days.

Over the weekend at NXT No Mercy, Trick Williams defeated Dominik Mysterio to win the North American Title, his first in WWE. This week on NXT, Mysterio defeated Williams to win the title back, albeit with the help of Judgment Day, as Finn Balor hit Williams in the head with a title belt, allowing Mysterio to get the pin. The loss leaves Williams with the shortest reign in the title’s history.
They’re making a star. Check out Williams’ recent NXT efforts, including this week’s title match:
Opinion: In four days, Williams has pinned Mysterio to win the title and then lost it back to him with the help of the entire Judgment Day stable, plus JD McDonagh. That is one heck of a way to make Williams into a big deal and it worked incredibly well. Williams can point to the title win and go a long way as a result. That should do him a lot of good and now we get to see where he can go from here.
