Those are some serious words. There have been all kinds of wrestling personalities throughout history and some of them are far more famous for something they did outside of the ring. Not ever wrestling personality is an active wrestler but that does not mean they should be ignored. Now a rather famous one has something to say about someone else in the industry and it isn’t great.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: POSSIBLE *SPOILER*: Former World Champion May Make Surprise Return This Weekend
During an appearance on WrestleBinge, WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long was asked about his segments with John Laurinaitis. Long responded by saying they worked well because he hated Laurinaitis and had no respect for someone who tried to stop Long from being able to feed his family. He went on to say Laurinaitis hated him for no reason and that he found it unreal that Laurinatis would laugh and grin at him. Long went on to say that Laurinaitis was responsible for making sure Long made less money than a referee and also accused him of stopping WWE from selling Long t-shirts.
Those are some harsh words. Check out Long’s interview, plus his time in WWE:
Opinion: Those are some rather serious allegations and if they are true, I can certainly understand Long’s anger at Laurinaitis. WWE will sell shirts of just about anyone but not a Hall Of Famer and someone who has been prominently featured for years? That doesn’t make a ton of sense and if Laurinaitis did that, it makes me wonder why, but also who else he did it to.
What do you think of Long’s statements? What was the best part of his career? Let us know in the comments below.
