Again? With so many wrestlers around the world, it makes sense that some of them would go from one promotion to another after some time. It can make for some interesting moments when someone shows up in a place that they are not expected, though there might be some kind of a hint before they get there. We might be seeing that again with a former World Champion.

The end of this week’s Impact Wrestling saw Scott D’Amore making a phone call, saying that his partner for Slammiversary, PCO, will not be able to compete. D’Amore asked whomever was on the phone if he could be ready before picking up a Team Canada shirt. According to PWInsider.com by way of Whatculture.com, Eric Young was seen at the Detroit airport, which is around thirty miles from the location of Slammiversary. Should Young be the partner, it would likely mean that he was released from his second run with WWE without appearing on television.

Young last appeared for Impact Wrestling in December 2022 when he was killed off by Deaner, one of D’Amore’s opponents in the match. He then reportedly re-signed with WWE and was being prepped for a return to television but never actually appeared. An appearance at Slammiversary is NOT confirmed at the moment. Slammiversary takes place Saturday July 15.

This would be special. Check out Young’s time in Impact Wrestling:

Opinion: Young returning would make sense, but this falls into the “I’ll believe it when I see it” category. He is certainly a legend in Impact Wrestling and having him show up again would be a cool moment. Impact does like bringing stars back at Slammiversary and if WWE was never going to use Young, he might be better off going somewhere that will at least get him in front of a camera.
