Welcome back. There are all kinds of ways to bring a wrestler back to television after a lengthy absence and one of them is through total surprise. Someone might have been gone for a long time for one reason or another and then come back doing something rather different. Tat was the case this weekend, as a WWE Superstar made her return after a lengthy health issue.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Double Return? Update On Two Injured AEW Stars
This weekend at WWE Bad Blood, Rhea Ripley challenged Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Title. Late in the match, Ripley was attacking Morgan’s boyfriend Dominik Mysterio when Raquel Rodriguez returned and jumped Ripley, causing a disqualification. Rodriguez and Morgan then left together. This was Rodriguez’s first appearance since February, as she has been out of action due to MCAS, a skin condition.
This was a big one. Check out the match, the return and the aftermath:
Opinion: What matters the most here is having Rodriguez back, as she has had quite the health issue and it is great to have her healthy enough to return to action. Having her as Morgan’s muscle is a good way to go, as it is not easy to believe that Morgan can be a reasonable opponent for Ripley when things are equal. That won’t be the case for Rodriguez though, making things that much better.
