Special moment. Earlier this year, the wrestling world was rocked by the surprise death of Bray Wyatt at 36 years old. Wyatt was a star in WWE and had been rumored for a return to the company after a long hiatus. Following his passing, a huge series of tributes came pouring in, with wrestlers and ans alike honoring Wyatt. Those tributes are not over yet though, and that was on display last weekend.

Over the weekend, WWE ran a live event in Edinburgh, Texas, featuring a main event of LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa. Before the match, the lights were turned down in the arena and the fans turned on the lights on their cell phones. Most of the lights went down as the match, which was won by Knight, began. It is not clear what prompted the tribute and it does not seem like WWE planned for it to happen.

That was something. Check out the tribute, plus more Wyatt tributes:

Opinion: This feels like something that was not planned in advance but instead was a special moment that just kind of happened. Wyatt would often incorporate the lights going out into his appearances and it is no surprise that the fans reacted to it in some way. I’m not sure this was expected, but my goodness that was a cool looking moment that had to take Knight and Sikoa by surprise.
